Katherine Duclos is a New York based emerging artist who completed her MFA in Painting and Drawing at Pratt Institute in 2012. After earning a BA in Creative Writing from Emory University in 2003, she lived in Shanghai for four years, teaching, traveling, and developing a consistent photography practice and interest in painting. Upon beginning her MFA she rediscovered her love of ink, exploring new possibilities with the classic medium, including new surfaces such as water-resistant Yupo. She has participated in group shows in New York and Kentucky and worked as a teaching artist for organizations such as Studio in a School and The Philadelphia Museum of Art.
